During my 5 years working in the childcare industry I attained my Certificate 3 in childcare. Through this learning experience
I have grown to understand how to appropriately address and interact with children in a professional way.
Children anticipate surprises and spontaneity. Kids have an expectation of what a DJ is and I play into this using big gestures and through being animated. Games and interaction should be unpredictable and that is why it is important to keep the format loose. If I sense the children have a strong incline to do there own thing I accent that also. Competitions are a great way to celebrate those individuals trying to stand out. I am constantly looking out for opportunities for how and when I can celebrate these people.
